    hi SpecialEdition,

    Welcome to the LinuxForums.

    whats the root password?
its the password that you have assigned to SuperUser (root) during installation.

how do i get the Administrative password or make it?
you can reassign root password. boot up from Installation CD/DVD and type 'linux rescue' at boot: prompt. press Enter key. this will drop you at shell prompt. execute this
    Code:
    chroot /mnt/sysimage
    passwd
assign new root password and reboot.

    Lightbulb root user ?

root user is super user with all rights
gid and uid both are set to zero

at command promt if u have login as root then just type
    #passwd
if u want to break existing root password use linux 1st CDROM for booting and
at boot promt use rescue mode
and u will be prompted for new password to enter
