sendmail cannot send message to any users

I'm trying to set up sendmail so that i can email myself some logs via mail, for example, using the command:

    echo "test" | mail -s "test" mymail@gmail.com

This works just fine if I am logged in as root. But if I am logged in as another user I receive the error

"Failed to send message to any users"

I'm a bit of a sendmail newbie so i'm not too sure where to go from here.If this looks like an obvious problem that any of you have seen I'd greatly appreciate some info.

    Thanks guys and gals,

    David

I think you have to add other users (to provide access) to /etc/aliases file.

Try adding users under "mailman aliases" section
