Changinng the password automatically at first login

    Hello.

How can i manage that every user must change their password at the first login?

With Suse 9.1 it works: "passwd -e user"

But I use REDHAT 9.0 ... Kernel 2.4! here a flag like "-e" does work.

"passwd --help" dont show the solution for my problem.

    Any Ideas?

    Sorry for my bad english.

    THX

I did some Googling, and it seems that RH9 has made a few changes.
Try issuing the change command. Take a look at 'man change' and let me know if that is what you are looking for.
