MP-BIOS bug:8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC
I’m using a AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core processor 3800+ on a GIGABYTE GA-M55S-S3 motherboard with a NVIDIA NFORCE 550 chipset. I’m trying to install Fedora Core 5. At the time of installation it prompted me the above error message and computer hangs until I reset it. I checked the BIOS, there is no APIC option to turn it off or I don’t know how to add “noapic” to command line while I haven’t installed FC5 yet. Dose anyone know how to get around this problem? Thanks a lot!
