    Internet issue in Fedora

I am facing a strange issue in Fedora 5. I have an ADSL connection, with a D-Link Router. I have an Ethernet Adapter installed which is getting properly detected. But I am able to connect to a few websites only. Some sites open comfortably, while some do not open at all. Google doesn't open while say, http://www.linux.org/ opens easily. I am able to ping www.google.com successfully. I have a dual-boot system, in windows everything is fine.

    Could anyone please help me!

Maybe this is an MTU issue. Try this

    /sbin/ifconfig eth0 mtu 1300

    and then open google

If it works, tell me to show you how to make it permanent.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

I tried this command but sadly the situation is the same. Also I should tell you that even the other sites are opening slower than usual. (slower than the speed in windows)
