    Upgrade Python

    Hi Everyone

I've just installed my first Fedora Core 6 box, I've used the other releases and been really pleased with them so far.

My Fedora Core 6 install has come with python Python 2.4.3 out of the box.

I need to upgrade that to python2.5

Is there a really easy way to do that? Please say yes, the upgrade on my Mac wasn't really easy at all.

    Code:
    yum upgrade python
This should take care of all the dependencies for you, as long as their is an update avaliable.

Otherwise download the latest rpm and type

    Code:
    rpm -u <package name>.rpm
This should complain about dependencies which you will have to download and install first..
