Angry Problem with Yum Repository Metadata

    Hi every one,
I have a problem when running yum

    $yum list 'a*'
    Loading "installonlyn" plugin
    Setting up repositories
Reading repository metadata in from local files
Error: Caching enabled and local cache: //var/cache/yum/updates/primary.xml.gz does not match checksum

It seems that Repository Metadata was wrong.
What I can do to fix it?
    Thank you.

    execute this
    Code:
    yum clean all
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    try this command first
    Code:
    yum clean metadata
in case it doesn't work, execute this
    Code:
    yum -y remove yum-fastestmirror
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Thank you, but this command does not work neither:

    # yum -y remove yum-fastestmirror
    Loading "installonlyn" plugin
    Setting up Remove Process
    No Match for argument: yum-fastestmirror
    No Packages marked for removal

    Do you have any idea?

Yes, I have run: yum clean all
and after that this problem occurs.
May be I am behind a proxy, because that I have to use DHCP IP address.

it means your ISP is serving an older cached version of the repomd.xml file which is out of date and therefore the checksums doesn't match.
    execute this
    Code:
    export http_proxy=<ip address>:<port number>
