Quad Core Processor support
Does fedora or Redhat Linux currently support quad core processors? If so, since what version?

I know that the Linux kernel has supported dual processors since at least version 2.4 (perhaps 2.2, the SMP version), so I doubt you'll have issues with a quad-core. It will just show up as 4 CPUs. If I'm not mistaken, symmetric multi-processing support has been included by default as of kernel 2.6. I'm sure someone will jump in and correct me if that's not the case.

CentOS 5 works well with quad-core processors, so latest RH and Fedora should work too.
I don't know about earlier versions though.

The 2.6 kernel supports SMP and this should be taking are of multi-processor systems.
Why don't you give it a try and setup linux on your quad processor system.
