Then the machine is just sitting there.

Ok, the topic is just here for a hour.
Give us time to read it..
Just bump it after a day or two.

Well, try installing it without LVM.

But does it work without LVM?
Since I also had that once. Also are you sure you use the right arch?

Did you use any special parameter while installing Fedora?

No casper

I actually followed your installation guide. But to run the installation initially I had to type:

linux all-generic-ide pci=nommconf

If I don't type that and then press enter to start the installation it says loading ahci driver........ and it stays there forever.

Highlight Fedora title in GRUB Menu and press 'e'. Select kernel line and press 'e' again. Type pci=nommconf at the end of line and hit enter key. Press 'b'. Check if Fedora boots up. in case it doesn't work, add all-ide-generic too.

Hey capser,

I followed what you said.

After pressing "e" the following line came up:

>LogVo100 pci=nommconf rhgb quiet

I typed at the end of that line pci=nommconf, then pressed "b" but fedora didn't boot up.
>LogVo100 pci=nommconf rhgb quiet pci=nommconf

I then added the line all-ide-generic, pressed "b" but didn't boot up, as well.
>LogVo100 pci=nommconf rhgb quiet pci=nommconf all-ide-generic
Would it make a difference if I type all-generic-ide instead?
