blazing-inferno Just Joined! Join Date: Apr 2007 Posts: 28	fc8 rpm/dvd codec probelms i just updated to fc8 and started to download the gstreamer and totem-xine libdvdnav and all that stuff but it doesnt come up with anything to download no packages available. it worked perfectly for fc7... im thinking of switching back. i also cant install or download vlc.

Join Date: Jan 2008 Location: Redding, CA Posts: 20	You need to use rpm.livna.org MyStartingPage - Rpm.livna.org wiki install this rpm: http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release-8.rpm then - yum remove totem yum install totem-xine xine-lib-extras xine-lib-extras-nonfree libdvdcss If you use rhythmbox - it will have been removed with the yum remove totem. So yum install it again (totem-xine meets its dependency needs).
