Which would be a good partiton manager with a gui on rhel5 ?

You should be able to install gparted on RHEL. It should be on the installation discs or you can use yum to install it from the Red Hat repositories.

If a liveCD will work for you in your particular situation, I really like the two recommended above by devils_casper and highly recommend them myself. Both are very easy to use and they have good documentation for using them on their perspective websites.
