 <service name> dead but subsys locked
hai,
i am working in redhat enterprise linux 4 . i want to start a service from the start up. but when i check the status of the service its showing
<service name> dead but subsys locked.
but when i delete the file like: rm -f -R /var/lock/subsys/<service name>. then
i can start the service. but same problem will occur again when i reboot the system. but i want the service to work from the start up. every time deleting the file from /var/lock/subsys is not feasible.. Is there any body faced the same problem.? Is there any solution to solve this problem.?
