Installation of dns server in rhel 5.0 server edition

Hello Everybody!

I had installed Redhat Enterprise Linux Server 5.0 in my pc. I want to setup it as a DNS Server. But I am not able to do that.

Plz suggest.........

good luck..it aint easy.

There is a mailing list for the bind program, search online for it, bind.org I think. That will help.

Here is a link to some of my notes I took, but not the final finished 'what I did' notes.
Trip through DNS

Particularly pay attention to the last one...it concerns your control over your IPS. I am assuming you are collocating your server. REmember that the datacenter will control some of your ips stuff, notably part of your PTR records.

Not knowing that made it a 3 month oddyessy of hell.
