Two RHEL4 running servers file system sync

Hi Admins,

I have same configuration and same file system layout two Rhel 4.0 servers.

One server active (production) and another on standby. I dont wana configure cluster.

Just I want to sync the first server file system with second server with 30 min interval.

My main aim, If first server crash due to hardware failure, Immediately I want change the secondary server IP and hostname like first server want to release to production.

I have 3 file system each file system size 20 GB.

I really apprciate your recommendation and steps to configure.

regards

Google: rsync

Lots and lots and lots of guides about using rsync.

*Rsync is simple and reliable and sync's filesystem data. If you want to sync at the block level, you can look at drbd. But it would probably require some setup on your existing "production" server.
