eth0 interfce fails

Hi,

I have a Redhat Linux ES 2.1/3.0 machines with eth0 and eth1. When I reboot the machines, it doesn't activate the eth0/eth1 and for every reboot, I go the machine location and activate it.

How could I make this automatic?

Thanks

cos i use redhat it might not be the same but i would go into network config and on the first tab chech the boxes next to the Nics and tick them.

eth0 interfce fails

Folks,

I have the following entry in my system and still eth0 don't start during the bootup.

$more /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts
DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=none
HWADDR=00:0E:7F:F1:EB:F3
ONBOOT=yes
TYPE=Ethernet
NETMASK=255.255.25.0
IPADDR=10.4.33.453
USERCTL=no
PEERDNS=no
GATEWAY=10.4.212.32

When I reboot the machine(Redhat Linux ES 3.0), I see the OK startup message for etho and eth1.But actually, it don't start(ie) I am unable to ping or ssh to the machine.I think, it is specific to RH Linux ES 3.0 version because I don't have this problem in our RH Linux 2.1 machines.

Thanks
