FC2 Raid Problem IBM XSeries 206

Hi,

I'm trying to set up FC2 on an IBM Xseries 206 with two SATA drives and an adaptec raid controller (on mother board) for RAID 1 (Mirrored).

The problem is getting FC2 to recognise the RAID array (RAID 1 set up through BIOS). The array is built in BIOS but is not recognised by Fedora, instead I have /dev/sda with a boot and swap partition (and 70 odd Gigs of free space) and /dev/sdb with the root partition.

The RAID controller is reported as "6300ESB SATA RAID controller", Intel Corp. Driver ata_piix (in Hardware browser).

LSMOD shows
ata_piix
libata (ata_piix, Permanent)
sd_mod
scsi_mod

So I am convinced that the controller is seen by Linux but I seem unable to use it and to be honest, have no idea how to continue

Can anyone help me to set this up or advise on the best way to continue, the machine is to be used as a SOHO Server.

Thanks in advance,

Mike
