[SOLVED] No Sound...AGAIN

Hi All,

I had sound yesterday, broke my repos somehow (think I added a rawhide repo), reinstalled, no sound now....at all, amarok, vlc, flash, etc...extremely frustrated, sound should work out of the box....period.

Any ideas, suggestions, etc..?

okay that's just IDIOTIC, I'm sorry but my mixer on the bottom is fully up, but if I go into the pulse audio sound (multimedia -> volume control) it's by DEFAULT MUTED....luckily I stumbled across another forum which had about 30 people who had the same problem and basically all said "why would it be muted by default" & "why would they have TWO volume controls that aren't linked", so, all is good now
