First I would like to say I'm new to all this so if my questions in the wrong place just let me know. I have set everything up using Fedora and I want to listen to my favorite am radio station online. They stream for free. Now whats the best way to get firefox to help acomplish this task? The player site requires mplayer/mplayerplugin-in. I've done both but still dead-air. any successfull suggestions will help from reverting to a "windows partion". thank you all in advance. joshua

For each musicstation, I have such a file. This way, I don't need Firefox, I just open it with Xine and of I am __________________ "Yoda of Borg are we: Futile resistance is. Any who- I used Xmms to locate a few music channels off of winamps site and I have a good seletion to listen too. Just not the particular one I wanted. I'll firgure this out in good time. Once again I really want to thank you for your help, it lead me in all kinds of good directions and I'm learing more and more about linux every day. I love it. Joshua

Then, put in it the code mentioned above. If you now open this file with Xine, you get streaming audio (webradio).

When you look around on internet for webradio, and click on the "listen now" buttons, you mostly get a blahblah.asx file when using Linux. Save such a file and you have a link to a radiostation.

tonedeaf Just Joined! Join Date: Apr 2005 Posts: 3	OR if you're not comfortable creating scripts install mplayerplug-in. This way your firefox browser should play most streaming audio the same way Internet Explorer does through windows. mplayerplug-in's web site: http://mplayerplug-in.sourceforge.net
