Installing Glib

Hello all: I'm trying to upgrade my version of GIMP, "make" tells me I need a newer version of Glib, 2.0.0 or better. I'm not sure how to do this sucessfully, Is there a specific place to install it? Thanks in advance
Oh, RH9.0 leaninlinux

the Red Hat/Fedora disks will more than likely have the RPM on them, but you could also search on rpmfind if u wanted to get the latest version

The source can be found from the GTK site at:

ftp://ftp.gtk.org/pub/gtk/v2.6/glib-2.6.0.tar.bz2

That is, obviously, glib version 2.6.0.

The RPMs via RPMFind that I found are:

ftp://speakeasy.rpmfind.net/linux/PL...3.5-1.i386.rpm
ftp://speakeasy.rpmfind.net/linux/PL...3.5-1.i686.rpm
ftp://speakeasy.rpmfind.net/linux/PL...5-1.athlon.rpm

Choose whichever one fits your architecture.
