FC3 on an external HDD
I installed FC3 on my external HDD, but did not install a boot loader. I was hoping it would load into Windows if I didn't have the external HDD plugged in, and if it did then boot FC3. The windows works, but when the external is plugged in, it says no operating system found. Is there a way to fix this? I don't want to install anything on my internal HDD (where my windows is) so that it is just normal w/out the external plugged in. Also is there a manual way to boot the OS from the external? Thanks

im still new at linux, but as far as i know, you need a bootloader to boot linux. Maybe you could install the boot loader onto the external hd? or maybe the MBR of the internal one, like in a regular dual boot? Im not sure of this, but i know there are some good toutorials for this. My advice: google it
