xdvi trouble...

hi guys,

i'm having trouble with my dvi viewer; it really messes up the fonts and is constantly complaining about some stuff that it can't find. is there a quick fix to this problem? like having yum remove it and then reinstall it?

thanks.

yeah, that didn't do shit for me. argh. it's strange though, when i preview a dvi file from a terminal with "xdvi filename", it brings about this annoying behavior, and basically gives me a nonusable output. but when i browse files in nautilus and click on a dvi file, it brings up a different version of xdvi, xdvik, where everything seems to be working excellent. i thought xdvi was the standard dvi viewer, and xdvik an upgrade, and that calling "xdvi filename" from a terminal brings up xdvi or xdvik (if xdvik is installed). however, this does not seem to be the case for my box...can anyone help?
