Need help on apache..

I'm very sorry about asking how to solve things, but I am very new at linux. I have been trying all last night and today to setup my apache server properly but the most I got was not enough.. I want apache to load /home/myusername/www/cp/index.php but all I get is the directory; when I click on something, if says not found. That goes for folders. Would anyone be able to setup an config file for me or help me?

Make sure that it is readable by the account that Apache uses (probably 'nobody'). You could try:
Code:
chmod o+r index.php
And see if that fixes it. If it does, then do:
Code:
chmod o+r *
From the same directory, and that should do it.

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /cp on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/2.0.54 (Fedora) Server at S01060011d82099eb.du.shawcable.net Port 80

Oh you mean a symlink?
Well either way, that won't work as /cp would be outside of the server root.

It doesn't matter where you're loading it from:
It's outside of your webserver's root (/home/foo/www, /home/foo/public_html, /home/foo/htdocs, /usr/lib/apache2/htdocs, etc...)
