mounting ntfs to access my XP

Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: East Australia Posts: 22	mounting ntfs to access my XP I'm trying to get access to my XP partition by trying: mount -t ntfs /dev/hda1 /winXP getting the error: mount: unknown filesystem type "ntfs". The manual shows it as available. I ran 'df' to see which partitions were'nt mounted, and there isn't a hda1, but a hdc3? But the first problem is ntfs. Don't really know what I'm doing here.

lol, nu uh... its printed!

Yah, you probly need to install NTFS support to tell linux how to read NTFS partitions.

yum can't be of any help yet. Got a bit of work to do to get the modem going first. Stuck with windows still.
