how to install realplayer.bin ?

I just downloaded realplayer.bin for linux. How do I install it pl.

From a terminal/CLI, try doing:

Code:

su
<enter root password>
chmod a+x RealPlayer10GOLD.bin
./RealPlayer10GOLD.bin

As I understand it, it is supposed to make the .bin file executable.

Hi soul,
I installed the realplayer, but when I went to >sound and video > real player
it gives me the error

Code:

Cannot launch entry
Details&#58; Failed to execute child process "realplay" &#40;No such file or directory&#41;

I had installe dit in the reallpayer10 directory.

Any help pl .. thanks

Not sure if this would work, but how about trying as root:

ln -s <path_to_where_you_installed>/RealPlayer/realplay /usr/bin/realplay

By the way if anyone is having a difficult time finding the "bin" file, which on the realplayer and helix site seems to be hidden, I found it here:
