| Install problem: lost interrupt Hi,
I assume the RedHat/Fedora part is adapted to Centos.
I try installing Centos 4.4 on an old PC (PIII), I can boot with the CD, I start the installation without parameter, but after showing a lot of information, the startup stops saying:
ide-cd: cmd 0x5a timed out
[wait 1 min...]
hda: lost interrupt
hda: ATAPI 20X CD-ROM drive, 128 kB Cache, DMA
Uniform CD-ROM driver Revision: 3.20
[wait 1 min...]
hda: lost interrupt
ide-cd: cmd 0x25 timed out
hda: lost interrupt
[wait 1 min...]
hda: lost interrupt
[wait 1 min...]
hda: lost interrupt
[wait 1 min...]
hda: lost interrupt
etc...
Then I get some more informations:
mouse recognized
anaconda installer starting
mounting filesystem
running install
running /sbin/loader
[it dies here...]
Any idea what goes wrong?
Thank you
