YUM hangs

Hi,

Im quite new to the linux world. And have some problems when i try to update my fedora or use package manager it freezes.

When i run "yum update" it will freeze at Setting up repositories.

And package manager frezeeses while running Retrieving software information.

I have tried everything I can think of.

yum clean all
rpm --rebuilddb

looking in the yum.conf - but their seems to no problems either, have added a timeout.

My internet connection is working fine when using firefox. Can someone please help???

Nope but i am behind a router. Can that be the problem? Or would it not just cause it to timeout and give an error?

This may or may not help but try updating your yum:

yum update yum
