Hi all,
I am looking for help on how to install the latest version of evolution on my Redhat Linux AS 4.
I downloaded the latest versions files from
http://www.gnome.org/projects/evolution
Whenever I try installing the evolution on my machine I keep on getting some irritating errors. And Redhat currently does not have any RPM which we can download and install from their site.
Any insights would be helpful.
I read the README / INSTALL files which comes bundled with the download. (commonly deployed steps are --> ./configure --> make --> make install)
but just after the first step we get some errors that some of the files are of lower version and that need to be upgraded to a higher version. One such error was libsoup-2.4.pc
And I have kept trying to search for this but this does not exists anywhere.
Is there any particular steps that need to be carried out so as to install?
Any help would be great.
Thanks.
Saabir.
