Text and Graphics problems in FC6 when using; GIMP, Evolution and Firefox

Hi,

I am having problems with text and graphical "artefacts" when using; GIMP, Evolution and Firefox (these are the only ones I have noticed it in so far.

The issue in Gimp is that when I open an image it is messed up whenever I move the cursor over the image, if I change to a different tool then I get a different shape of mess, it follows the cursor and doesn't matter if I click a button.

The issue in Evolution, firefox etc is similar, if I am typing something and then have to move around in the text I get hangovers of the cursor blink spread through the text, these only last as long as I am moving, as soon as I type they disappear.

I have googled for bugs relating to this sort of problem however it doesn't show up any results.

I have attached a screenshot which shows both the problems as I edited it in Gimp and moved the cursor around to create the problem.

Anyone got an idea what this could be?

Thanks in advance.
