    It usually gets fixed by removing the battery and making a cup of tea before starting everything up...

    Rather than get disillusioned I'd really suggest having a try of a different distro.

    I think there's only been one version of fedora that's detected and worked with my rt2500 chipset.

    If you can't get this sorted then you may find more success with a debian, suse or mandriva...
