    Squid Configuration

Hi all this is my first post. I have a couple of questions regarding squid proxy. First i am using squid to block all sites in the network except a few(I created the ACLs) to prevent the people in the network from getting spyware and playing games. It all works but when i try to connect them to any Instant Messenger (MSN, Yahoo etc.) it wont connect (I checked all of the setting in the IM options) any ideas? Second when I try to start squid it doesn't start (clear enough?) if it helps i am using Webmin 1.1.

Thanks I'll check. The thing is i am not familiar with squid myself I am jsut helping out in the network. I also tried to add in the ACLs several of the ports messenger used as safe ports but it didn't work out.
