FTP from Linux to Windows
hi,
I remotely login to my Linux server via SSH from Windows client.
Now I am in Linux Server. I can ping to my windows client too.
Now I want to FTP (keeping in my that I am Linux server) to my window client. Its not allowing me. It say
[root@localhost ftp]# ftp 10.203.153.113
ftp: connect: Connection refused
For your info, 10.203.153.113 is my window client's IP from where I logged in to Linux server via SSH.
Can you suggest me, what exactly error is and how to do FTP.
Moreover, I can do the FTP directly form window machine to Linux separately from command prompt. But my question is, why not from Linux to windows.. where is Linux is Remote machine.
Thanks

You have to have a FTP server, such as Filezilla, installed on the Windows machine.
If you do have a FTP server installed on Windows check that you have the ports open on your firewallLinux User #453176
