Using Linux for wireless scanning is safe? I am looking for a wireless scanning ticketing system and I've found one company goes by the name of Toptix which will do what I need exactly (scanning Bar-code on a ticket and verify the info over the DB on the computer) and from their website the company looks serious and experienced.

How can I be sure it will be secured and protected with all the "wireless" will keep my PC security well? there is specific Linux OS that will be more secure for my business?

There is an extra software pack for Linux to make wireless security more strict?
