Locked out
Ok, I am brand new at this so bare with me. Just got a new netbook running Linpus lite and the first thing I always do is secure it, Enter a supervisor password and user password, and enable password prompt at power up, but now the password I entered is not being accepted, so I am locked out entirely, anyway to access the root and change it? I have no clue.

Hi and Welcome !
Boot up in Rescue or Single User Mode and execute this
Reassign root password. It won't ask for earlier root password.Code:passwd
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

If it's the power-up password you are going to have to reset the BIOS.
Normally this requires opening the system and moving a jumper.
