I have installed mandrake 9.0 with the higher secuirty level. I wanted to make the users public_html folder available over the internet. The first problem I found was the permissions on all th elower directories were turned off for other and group.

I set them to on and it worked fine for a short while. Then one of the secuirty sentries or services changed the permissions back.
I am haveing problems identifying which security sentry was installed with the base installation. I can find Osiris or Aide on the system.

If any one has an idea I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance
