OpenSSH: Authentication succeeds but connection gets closed
Hi,
I am trying to SSH from my Linux PC(Gentoo) to a TS-7260 boardrunning
Debian.
Though it says debug1: Authentication succeeded (publickey) ..
the connection gets closed.
Please note:
1. Password authentication also gives the same error
2. SSH form my Linux PC to the board works.
The message I get is
------------------------
(15:22) > ssh root@...

established.

Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? yes

Bit confused, because you seem to contradict yourself in point 2. Anyway,
do you have any form of access to the board at all? (eg via the serial console). It's going to be a lot easier to solve if you can see the log messages it's generating. If you do have access, it might also be worth checking that the user you're logging in as has a valid shell, that tcpwrappers aren't coming into play etc

By chance is your server's /etc/ssh/sshd_config "PermitRootLogin" set to "no?"
