    Hello,

    I want to setup a web hosting server on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Server.
    Is my choice any good ? Please suggest another distribution if not.

    Securing Apache 2: Step-by-Step securing apache2

    Setting up a Apache server isn't that difficult so that version of Ubuntu should be fine. You will need a a static IP or dynDNS service. Also, you may need to put Apache on a different port if your ISP blocks port 80
