Penetration test

Hi friends
I want to make a penetration test for servers in my network, The most servers OS's are Linux and some are Windows servers and Solaris, I'm looking for a Linux based powerfull and helpfull tool I can use for this testing, Can some one help me.

BackTrack is designed for this sort of thing.

It's not the easiest, but well worth the effort

I use it myself. It is not a "newbie" friendly distro but it has a lot of goodies for security and penetration. It runs as mainly a live session.

use backtrack for pentest....

n if you want, use VMware for make virtual networking.....

n if u wanna pentse u have to know, basic TCP/IP...

Not sure about your exploit knowledge.
But try metasploit db_autopwn, Nessus and NMap.
If your knowledge is slightly higher, use Backtrack and probe some services.
Get Radare out and pwn some binz.
Radare and Metasploit make a powerfull 0DayCocktail.
