Disable drop and drag
Hi
I have a Linux machine currently running Redhat9; this machine acts a fileserver with samba shares for windows access. I need to know how to prevent users from dragging and dropping directories. I want the users to be able to read and write to these directories, but not have the ability to do the drag and drop and lose folders in other directories.
Hope this makes sense to someone out there.

You want the Windows users to be able to read and write samba shares on your Linux box, but you don't want them to be able to drag and drop? That is not possible, AFAIK. Drag and Drop is a feature of the file browser being used. As long as they have the ability to write, they can drag and drop to their heart's content.
