about to put my linux box online
hi all, I got a quick question here, I am about to join my gentoo box onto a network through a router and a DSL connection. I wanted to know if I do need anything to install first before going online with it for security reasons. Do I need to setup a firewall? or I guess i can rely on my router to block everything for me. Thanks for any help

Usually a router is plenty, but if you'd like, you can set up either iptables or ipchains.
