Knoppix - Security Is It Similiar To Other Flavors Of Linux
When I am running the Knoppix CD on my system, is it secure the same way it would be if I were running fully installed version of SUSE or RedHat.

In a way, you can say that it's more secure, since intruders can't modify the system. On the other hand, you can't update any programs to the latest version either, so it's probably a tradeoff. Sorry that I can't provide more info, but I don't use Knoppix much at all. Let's hope someone else can answer more thoroughly.

depends on the knoppix version and kernel you run in it, and the comparing distro version. overall Id say about the same since knoppix can't be changed (unless you installed it onto the harddrive) but any new linux distro will be very secure. (supposedly SUSE is better then RedHat though)
