    How to setup Email alerts in sever?

    hi...
    Am new to the Networking technology, I want to add one security feature named as EMAIL ALERTS in server (it will send mail to adminstrator about the status of the machine).

    Can any one tell the procedure to setup this?

    Hi Sandeep,

    There are many monitoring tools are available like nagios/monit/munin/zabbix etcc...for availability of systems

    And for system analysis and reporting tool, you can also use LOGWATCH which will regularly send alerts for system analysis and reports
