Hi,
I am trying to implement IDS in my router,so i have chosen snort to detect attacks...I have downloaded snort 2.9.1.2 version and compiled it with dependencies.When i try to run snort it is showing the below error

ERROR: database: '<mysql>' is an unknown database type. The supported
databases include: MySQL (mysql), PostgreSQL (postgresql),
ODBC (odbc), Oracle (oracle), and Microsoft SQL Server (mssql)
Fatal Error, Quitting..

And at the same time rules (/var/log/snort) alert and barnyard files are empty...How to generate alert rules(statically or dynamically)????

Can some one help me out of this.............
