Ya after installing psad yesterday I get:
[-] You may just need to add a default logging rule to the /sbin/ip6tables

Well I have ipv6 completely disabled in sysconfig for security reasons. Looks like I'll still have to add the rule into Shorewall.

Shorewall is a more comprehensive firewall where you have complete control, but there is a learning curve. I trust it, as opposed to some of these 'easy' firewalls.

PS - I'm now testing tiger. Seems to be a comprehensive tool.
