What does this mean in iptables?

I been having trouble figuring out what this means in one of my servers iptables. Maybe someone can explain it to me.

    Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
num target prot opt source destination
    1 DOCKER all -- ! ADDRTYPE match dst-type LOCAL
The exclamation point is throwing me off. Is that similar to "NOT"? And is this required by DOCKER?

I can be found either 40 miles west of Chicago, in Chicago, or in a galaxy far, far away.
Read the iptables man page. It has some information about the use of the '!' operator that may help you figure this out.

FWIW, Docker shouldn't require iptables at all unless you want the containers to have an internet presence.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

I thought I read through the man page but didn't find it, but there it was. Thanks.
