Have just joined this forum and am also totally new to Linux. I hope that Linux, for me, will be a refuge from Microsoft once I learn enough. My request for advice involves internet security on Linux. I know that no OS is really safe, however I believe that Linux scores very highly in that area.
At this time I am concerned that my PC may be open to attack without my knowledge. I have come from a "comfort" zone on Windows where any number of antispyware and antiviurs programs are available and generally warn the user when an event has occurred.
My major worry revolves around such nasties as "keyloggers" and the like, particularly if I use my Linux PC for Internet Banking. Is anyone able to advise how to minimise my risk in this area or direct me to a website that provides definitive answers about preventing and detecting trojans, etc on Linux OS ??
