    ipband usage

    Hello all,

I am trying to monitor network bandwidth usage, for troubleshooting and keeping up on it. I found this IPBAND program and I cant seem to get it to write a log file.
I have a few questions for anyone who has used this program before.
    usage:
    ipband eth0 -L 192.168.0 -m 24 -a 60 -r 300 -b 1 -F -d 1

If I understand the man page right this should monitor 192.168.0.0-192.168.0.255 w/ mask 255.255.255.0. It uses 60 seconds of data to average and reports if the usage is over 1kB/s for 5 minutes or more.
I guess I am the most unsure of the subnet mask, -m 24 shoud be 24 bits which I took as 255.255.255.0. Is that right?

    Any help is greatyl appreciated...
    thanks in advance

    shane
