    Is there any antivirus that searches and destroyes viruses for windows XP running under GNU/linux? If so where can I get it?

    You might want to check out clamav, I know it'll search for them, though I don't think it can destroy them if windows is on an NTFS filesystem.

    it is impossible with clamav to get rid of viruses on a ntfs partition. even using Captiventfs.

    i would never use captive ntfs again after it appeared to have destroyed my windows partition.
