This might be better posted under the server's forum, but I think it applies better here. I'm not very good with this user rights stuff, so any help/links would be appreciated.
I have an http, ftp, and samba server all running out of one computer (budget). I wonder what would be the best/safest way to set up acces here. Apache2 has the default user:nobody group:#-1 (what does #-1 mean) I'd like to have a user: netuser, it would have write acces to all three services. Also would be part of groups apache, ftp, and samba witch would have read only acces to the pertinent folders. Apache would run under user:netuser group:apache
