Hi Folks -

Ok I got my net connection sorted out ok so decided to get a firewall setup ASAP.

I had used Firestarter in the past and liked it but I have one really annoying problem with it. It will only seem to run as root and when I try to connect to the net as normal user I cannot access (or even ping) anything.

I have need told to try 'su' with the '- root' parameter which apparently will let me run it from a normal user account without library and path problems occuring.

However - seeing as Firestarter is NOT configured to start when a connection is made how come I seem unable to access a thing?
