    Questions about my system security??

    Hello all,
I was wondering if there are any app's or scripts that anyone might recommend for system scanning of virus's such as, worms, trojans, etc..?
Even something as simple as a security monitoring script, that would alert you of out of the ordinary behavior (a.k.a. system cracking)??

I like denyhosts for blocking those pesky ssh script kiddes:

    http://denyhosts.sourceforge.net/

you could look at RootKit Hunter http://www.rootkit.nl/

I use Mandriva which has some tools built in. I use both of the above plus

    Amavis for my e-mail http://www.amavis.org/

    you could also use http://sourceforge.net/projects/sentrytools/

    Good luck!
